Corvettes on the Gulf (COTG) Cape Coral, FL., was established in October 2003 and is a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC).

 

Corvettes on the Gulf is a social club whereby Gulf Coast area Corvette owners and their families can meet, socialize, have fun, help local charities, and appreciate the only true American sports car.  On May 10, 2009, all COTG members became NCCC members, making COTG 100% membership in NCCC. 

 

NCCC was founded in 1959, making it one of the oldest and most respected volunteer organizations devoted to promoting an automobile and its heritage.  It has shown its ability to organize, promote, and produce a number of competitive events over the years.  There are over 20 NCCC clubs in the Florida region, with more than 1,000 members.  Nationwide, NCCC has nearly 20,000 members. 

We meet the third Monday of each month where we discuss and plan club activities, which consist of entering or attending area car shows, monthly dinners in nearby restaurants, and attend other social events to be enjoyed by all.  It's not unusual for us the join other area Corvette Clubs and enjoy our Corvettes.

Our club president, Ron Gagnon passed away on June 3, 2010 of lung cancer.  Ron was a great president, enthusiastic about Corvettes on the Gulf and he loved his cars.  He was a member of the Hot Chili Rods as well as Corvettes on the Gulf and enjoyed going to car shows and cruise-ins.  We will all miss his emails and especially his encouragement to show up for events.  Thank you Ron, for your service as President of Corvettes on the Gulf.  You will be missed greatly.
